About Rezlab
Rezlab is an independent manufacturer of light gauge steel frames for walls and lightweight steel frame roof trusses. We specialise in the design and manufacture of steel framing for the residential housing market and do not work with timber framing at all. We do however have the capability to manufacture light gauge steel frames for commercial and industrial structures.
Our head office and manufacturing division are based in Hamilton, with plans in place to establish a number of additional manufacturing facilities across New Zealand. These additional manufacturing plants will also specialise in lightweight steel frame products for the residential housing market. They are privately owned under joint venture arrangements with Rezlab Group Holdings Ltd.
We are developing a network of privately owned distributors across the major regions of the country. These official distributors will look after business development and customer service in their allocated territories, with the lightweight steel frames manufactured by one of our joint venture partners in their region.

There are many advantages that light gauge steel framing offers over traditional timber framing for residential house construction:

Light gauge steel frames weighs less that 25% of the weight of timber, so larger lightweight steel frames can be handled by fewer workers. Fixing is fast and simple and no lifting equipment is required to move the steel frames. There is also less stress on the foundations and slabs.
